What do you say when someone says "You don't care about me."

What do you say when they're right?

Do I lie?

Do I admit it?

I don't want to hurt her feelings.

Do I care then?

But... well... I really don't.

Maybe I would if I could get through to her.

Maybe I would if we were friends.

But when you care about someone it shouldn't matter at all.

I wish "I don't know," wasn't the same as "no".
